You are worried about an environmental issue in the area where you live. Write a letter to the local authorities expressing your concerns and suggesting possible solutions.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my growing concern over the issue of air pollution in our city, particularly in the area where I reside. Over the past few years, there has been a noticeable deterioration in air quality, adversely impacting the health and well-being of the local population.
The presence of harmful pollutants in the air has reached alarming levels. On some days I can barely see beyond 50 metres due to the awful smog. This is no doubt leading to a surge in respiratory problems and related health complications. The situation not only endangers the immediate health of our citizens but also poses long-term risks to the overall quality of life in our community.
I implore the authorities to take measures to address this issue. Implementation of stricter standards for vehicle exhaust fumes and local factory emissions, as well as the promotion of public transportation and eco-friendly initiatives, could significantly alleviate the problem.
